Wolf Cooktop Repair

Gas, induction and electric Wolf cooktops set into island and peninsula runs. We diagnose zone and element failures, fault codes, spark and flame problems on gas, loose or damaged controls, and cracked or lifting glass on induction and radiant surfaces.

Said on the phone

The complaint, in your words

  • Induction zone throwing a fault under a heavy pan
  • Gas flame yellow-tipped and lazy on one burner
  • Front control knob loose on its stem
  • Glass surface cracked around a single element

On the visit

What gets measured

  1. Inverter temperature and cooling airflow under a heavy pan on induction
  2. Spark electrode gap and porcelain condition on gas
  3. Burner port pattern and flame colour at full and at simmer
  4. Touch-control response and relay behaviour on radiant zones

Money

One fixed number, and four things that move the rest.

Typical range · parts and labour together

Repair Range
Igniter or spark module replacement $280 – $630
Burner valve or orifice service $250 – $1,060
Oven thermostat or sensor calibration $130 – $660
Convection fan or motor $310 – $940
Control board or touch panel $510 – $1,590
Door hinge, glass or seal $210 – $960

The fixed number is the $95 service call: the visit, the readings and the diagnosis, credited in full against the repair once you approve it. Nothing past that is quoted over the phone, because nothing past that can honestly be quoted unseen.

  • Component or assembly. An igniter, a sensor or a switch is a component. A control board or a burner valve body is an assembly, and that is where the spread on an estimate comes from.
  • Gas half or electric half. A dual-fuel range is two appliances behind one fascia. Which half failed decides which trade the visit actually is.
  • Access to the back. Some faults are reachable from the front. Others need the appliance drawn out of a tight run of cabinetry and levelled again afterwards, and that is quoted as labour.
  • Carried or ordered. Igniters, sensors, switches and seals ride on the van. Boards, hinge assemblies and cavity parts for older platforms are ordered, which changes the shape of the appointment.

For scale: a comparable new appliance runs $6,610 – $18,760 for the unit alone, before delivery, installation, gas or electrical work and any cabinetry changes. That is the comparison worth making before agreeing to a large repair, and it is the one we will make with you.

  • Glass cracked in a ring around one element after a pan lid landed on it. He sourced the surface and had the peninsula back in use that afternoon.

  • The front control knob was loose on its stem and I did not want to leave it. He found the stem worn and the valve body scored, replaced the assembly, and leak tested the whole manifold afterwards.

  • Yellow tipped lazy flame on one position in our island run. The orifice had been swapped for the wrong size when the house was converted years back. He fitted the right one and set it properly.
